RENTALS STEP 7:
COMPLETE & SIGN THE CLEANING CHECKLIST
AFTER YOUR EVENT ...

CLEANING: Each renter is expected to thoroughly clean the facility after their event. We do not have a cleaning service. The supplies will be there at the community center. PLEASE ALLOW FOR THAT TIME.

CHECKLIST: Be sure to follow the cleaning checklist that will be left for you on the kitchen counter and clean it as per our agreement. Be sure to sign off on it and leave it on the counter before exiting the building. NOTE: Failure to do so will automatically result in a forfeiture of your deposit.

PAY IT FORWARD: We are counting on you to PAY IT FORWARD and clean it the way you would like to find it. Since we often have back-to-back renters we greatly depend on you to make sure that it is ready to go.

Cane Creek Community Center
RENTAL CLEANING CHECKLIST
Before leaving the community center, please make sure all items have been cleaned and checked off. Sign the checklist on the bottom and date it. Please leave the completed checklist on the kitchen counter when you leave. Upon inspection, if the property has been cleaned according to the cleaning check list, your deposit will be returned within 2 weeks.
KITCHEN
❏ Wipe down all countertops.
❏ Wipe down tray rails on front of main counter.
❏ Check front of cabinets and wipe off any spills or splatters.
❏ Wipe down stove top (& check burner pans) and window area behind stove.
❏ Wipe out any food spilled in microwave.
❏ Remove all food/drinks/ice from inside refrigerator and freezer. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD ON PREMISES.
❏ Wipe off any food from front of refrigerator.
❏ Using glass cleaner, wash off fingerprints and splatters from windows.
MAIN SPACE
❏ Remove all decor and accessories that you brought in.
❏ Remove all pushpins from cork strips. No other hanging supplies should be used!
❏ Return step stool to storage space.
❏ Wipe down all tables and chairs with a damp cloth then return to storage room.
❏ Using glass cleaner, wash off fingerprints from windows.
❏ Sweep entire floor (including bathrooms, hallway, and under kitchen counters).
❏ Mop all floors.
Using kitchen faucet hose, fill mop bucket. Add multipurpose/floor cleaner. Please remember to change mop water regularly to ensure mopping with clean water. Pour dirty water outside front door (to the left). Rinse dirty mop head before hanging on wall rack in storage room.
❏ Sweep/shake out front door mats outside.
RESTROOMS
❏ Empty bathroom trash cans into larger trash cans from main room.
❏ Please wipe down all bathroom surfaces with CHLOROX wipes.
❏ Use GLASS CLEANER to clean mirrors as needed.
❏ Sweep and mop bathroom floors and hallway.
PORCHES/PICNIC AREA/GROUNDS
❏ Pick up all litter and take trash with you as you leave.
❏ Sweep front walks and entrance way.
BEFORE EXITING THE BUILDING
❏Make sure back storm door is LATCHED BUT NOT LOCKED.
❏Make sure back inside door DEAD BOLT IS LOCKED.
❏ Set thermostat to 75 degrees in warmer months and 60 degrees in colder months.
❏ In winter months please leave under sink kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors open to prevent pipes freezing.
❏ Remove all trash from premises and take it with you when you leave.
❏ Place new trash bags in all waste baskets/trash cans.
❏ Turn off lights (bathrooms, hallway, storage room, kitchen area, front door).
❏ Leave door to hallway open.
❏ Lock front door.
