Membership
Cane Creek Community Council, Inc is a member based organization.
MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:
The membership of the Cane Creek Community Council, Inc. shall consist of individuals expressing an interest in joining the organization and who meet the following eligibility standards:

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Must be a full-time or part-time (6 months per year or more) resident within the Cane Creek Community as defined by the following geographical boundaries:

NORTHWEST BOUNDARY: The intersection of Concord Road and Old Concord Road

NORTHERN BOUNDARY: The intersection of Emma's Grove Road and Webb Creek Road
-
EASTERN BOUNDARY: Cane Creek Road and Sharon Road
-
SOUTHEAST BOUNDARY: The intersection of Upper Brush Creek and Sharon Road
-
SOUTHERN BOUNDARY: The Henderson County line that runs along the ridge of Burney Mountain
-
WESTERN BOUNDARY: The intersection of Cane Creek Road and Mills Gap Road, including the White Pine neighborhood up to Williams Road.

Must attend at least three (3) out of four (4) quarterly community meetings during the calendar year.

Must be in good standing with the community.
Cane Creek Residential Boundary Lines
MEMBERSHIP VOTING RIGHTS:

Each member, including the Board of Directors, shall be entitled to one (1) vote on each matter upon which members have voting rights.

After attending three (3) meetings during a calendar year, the member will have voting rights at the fourth and subsequent meetings.

To maintain voting rights, each member must attend a minimum of three (3) community meetings annually.

No membership vote may be considered by proxy.
MEMBERSHIP VOTING REQUIREMENTS:

Membership vote is required at the membership annual meeting in November for Board of Directors elections and other matters requiring a membership vote under our Bylaws.

A membership vote can also be called at the Board of Director's discretion on other matters. Otherwise, the Board of Directors will run the ongoing operations of the Cane Creek Community Council, Inc.
MEMBERSHIP RESIGNATION OR REMOVAL OF A MEMBER:
A member of the Cane Creek Community Council, Inc. immediately ceases to be a member upon any of the following:

His or her death
-
He or she no longer resides within the geographical boundaries defined as Cane Creek Community
-
Expiration of the term, if any, for which he or she was admitted as a member
-
Delivering his or her resignation in writing to the President of Cane Creek Community Council, Inc.

Removal by action of the membership with reasonable cause and in good faith

Upon the dissolution of the Cane Creek Community Council, Inc.
