The Gathering Room

Our main room boasts a wide open kitchen, plenty of counter space and new appliances, including refrigerator, range and microwave. We also have a twelve cup Mr. Coffee coffeemaker and a 55 cup percolator coffee maker available for use. In the drawers you will find some basic serving utensils and knives, measuring cups, measuring spoons, can opener and cutting boards. Building capacity: 100 people.

The Picnic Area

We have a basic picnic area with two extra long picnic tables with the capacity to seat a total of 40 people. Our picnic tables are available to use and our bathroom facilities can be made accessible.

RENTAL F.A.Q.s
How do I reserve a date or find out if a date is available to reserve?
ALL RENTAL INQUIRES START BY FILLING OUT OUR RENTAL INQUIRY FORM. This ensures that the information you provide goes through the proper channels so that those responsible for answering your request may receive the necessary information to process your request.
Why can't I call and talk to someone about my rental questions?
Because Cane Creek Community Center is made available through the service of a limited number of volunteers, we do not currently have an office. We try to answer all inquiries within 48 hours. Once we have received your request, we will respond via email and will answer any and all questions there.
Am I considered a Cane Creek Community Resident?
Cane Creek Community is defined by the boundary lines that were established years ago. Although you may live within a few miles from the community center, your residence may not actually be within those boundary lines. Am I allowed to come early to decorate for my event?
Any set-up, tear-down and cleaning time is to be scheduled within the timeframe of your event. If you are needing extra time, you will need to reserve the facility for an additional day if it extends beyond the normal rental hours.
Is wifi available at Cane Creek Community Center?
We do not have wifi capabilities at this time.
Do you rent the Community Center to non-Cane Creek Community groups?
Yes. We are happy to make the community center available to outside groups.
Can I have a bounce house at my event?
We do allow for inflatables, but we require extra documentation. These documents should be sent to you, for you to forward to us. Please do not have your vendor email us separately as that adds confusion to the communication.
All documentation is due (1) week prior to your event. If you do not supply the required vendor documentation, then you are forfeiting the privilege of having a bounce house at your event.
Documents Required from a Bounce House Vendor:
1. Proof of Insurance
2. Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement from your vendor on their letterhead releasing Cane Creek Community Center of any liability should any accident or injury occur specifically related to the bounce house activities.
Can I take a tour before I commit to a rental?
Cane Creek Community Center is made available through the service of volunteers. We cannot guarantee someone will be available to give a tour. However, you are welcome to stop by and take a peek in the window, as what is visible through the window is what is available.
Do you have tablecloths available for use?
We do not have tablecloths available for use. You must bring your own if you would like to cover the tables. There are (8) 6' rectangle tables and (7) 6' round tables.
How do I pay for a rental?
You may pay by PayPal, check or cash.

If you pay by check the easiest way is to pay using (2) checks: 1) for the deposit; 2) for the rental fee. Why? When you pay by separate checks, we will hold the deposit money until after your event is over. After we inspect the building, if we find that everything has been cleaned and put in order as defined by the Rental Agreement, we will simply VOID your deposit check and send you a photo of the voided check. If we find that the that a refund is not in order, we will then keep the deposit.
TO PAY BY CASH we will need to arrange a time to meet you to receive it.
Why am I being asked to follow a checklist and clean for the next renter?
1) We do not have paid staff. We do not have janitorial services nor do we have trash pick-up services. Each person who uses the facility is responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
2) When we have back-to-back rentals, we don't have time to come in and try to find someone who is able to clean up between rentals. Therefore we count on you to do your part.
What happens if I choose not to clean according to the checklist?
Please know that we love to give our renters their deposit back. That means that we each have taken responsibility for doing our part in helping to maintain Cane Creek Community Center. Every time we do what we promise to do, it is a win for the whole community. We expect you to take this commitment seriously and to be considerate of others.
However, if you do not and you choose not to clean according to the checklist or comply with any part of the Rental Agreement, you have broken the Rental Agreement and have automatically forfeited your deposit. Your ability to rent the facility in the future is dependent upon you complying with the policies as stated in the Rental Agreement.
Is it possible to extend the hours to 11 or 12 pm?
Out of consideration for our neighbors, we do not make exceptions in this area. Each person will need to vacate the premises by 10 pm.
PARKING: Where are we allowed to park?
We ask that you park only in the designated parking areas. If you need extra parking, you may park on the tennis court in the back. To access the tennis court you may drive down the right edge of the property next to the tree line.
