​​​​​Thank you for your interest in renting our facility. Before you commit to renting the facility, please carefully read through the following policies and procedures to make sure you know what you are renting and what you can expect.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:

OUR PROCESS:

​STEP 1: PLEASE COMPLETE THE RENTAL INQUIRY FORM (see below)

Only rental inquires that come through the rental inquiry form will be answered. It is the most efficient way to process requests and questions. To start a conversation, simply fill out the form in it's entirety. We understand that you have questions that need answering, but to avoid a lot of back and forth emails, by filling out the entire form the first time will save both of us a lot of time.

STEP 2: RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OF DATE AVAILABILITY

Once we have received your information via the Rental Inquiry Form, you will be contacted to confirm the date is available. We try to respond witnin 48 hours. Please note: Completion of the form does not guarantee reservation. If it is not available, we will gladly assist you with other options.

 

STEP 3: PAY THE DEPOSIT TO RESERVE THE DATE

Once the desired date is confirmed, you will be asked to pay the deposit. The date is not reserved until we have received your deposit. The rental fee may be paid at the same time as the deposit, but must be paid no later than one week prior to the rental date.

STEP 4: SIGN THE RENTAL AGREEMENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER

Once we have received your deposit, we will email you a rental agreement and liability waiver to sign and date. 

 

STEP 5: PAY THE RENTAL AMOUNT (if you have not already paid it)

 

STEP 6: RECEIVE THE ACCESS CODE

Once we have the signed rental agreement and liability waiver from you and the rental amount is paid in full, we will send you the door access code and instructions. You will then be able to come and go on the day of your event as you need.

 

STEP 7: AFTER THE EVENT

 

  1. CLEANING: Each renter is expected to thoroughly clean the facility after their event. We do not have a cleaning service. The supplies will be there at the community center. Please allow for that time.

  2. CHECKLIST: Be sure to follow the cleaning checklist that will be left for you on the kitchen counter and clean it as per our agreement. Be sure to sign off on it and leave it on the counter before exiting the building. Failure to do so will automatically result in a forfeiture of your deposit.

  3. PAY IT FORWARD: We are counting on you to PAY IT FORWARD and clean it the way you would like to find it. Since we often have back-to-back renters we greatly depend on you to make sure that it is ready to go. 

 

STEP 8: LOCK THE DOOR AND EMAIL US

Once you have locked the door behind you, please shoot us an email to let us know you are out of the building.

 

STEP 9: INSPECTION

We will stop by after your event to pick up the signed cleaning list and to confirm the amazing job that you did in preparing it for the next renter. Once we have had the opportunity to see how thoughtful you were and how clean you left it for the next person, you can expect to receive your deposit back within two weeks. If we find that you did not do what you agreed to do, you will forfeit your deposit.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

CLEANING

This community center is run by volunteers. We offer the facility as a courtesy to our surrounding area. We all have jobs. We all are busy. We serve because we believe in our community. That being said, since we are all volunteers, when you agree to rent this facility you agree to clean this facility for the next renter. We do NOT have a cleaning service.​ To rent the facility means that YOU ARE AGREEING TO "PAY IT FORWARD."

 PLEASE AIM TO LEAVE THE FACILITY IN BETTER CONDITION THAN YOU FOUND IT. EVERY DETAIL MATTERS.

RENTAL CLEANING CHECKLIST

Before leaving the community center, please make sure all items have been cleaned and checked off. Sign the checklist on the bottom and date it. Please leave the completed checklist on the kitchen counter when you leave. Upon inspection, if the property has been cleaned according to the cleaning check list, deposit will be returned within 2 weeks. 

KITCHEN 

❏ Wipe down all countertops. 

❏ Wipe down tray rails on front of main counter. 

❏ Check front of cabinets and wipe off any spills or splatters. 

❏ Wipe down stove top (& check burner pans) and window area behind stove. 

❏ Wipe out any food spilled in microwave. 

❏ Remove all food/drinks/ice from inside refrigerator and freezer. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD ON PREMISES. 

❏ Wipe off any food from front of refrigerator. 

❏ Using glass cleaner, wash off fingerprints and splatters from windows. 

MAIN SPACE 

❏ Remove all decor and accessories that you brought in.  

❏ Remove all pushpins from cork strips. No other hanging supplies should be used!  

❏ Return step stool to storage space. 

❏ Wipe down all tables and chairs with a damp cloth then return to storage room. 

❏ Using glass cleaner, wash off fingerprints from windows. 

❏ Sweep entire floor (including bathrooms, hallway, and under kitchen counters). 

❏ Mop all floors. 

Using kitchen faucet hose, fill mop bucket. Add multipurpose/floor cleaner. Please remember to change mop water regularly to ensure mopping with clean water. Pour dirty water outside front door (to the left). Rinse dirty mop head before hanging on wall rack in storage room. 

❏ Sweep/shake out front door mats outside. 

RESTROOMS 

❏ Empty bathroom trash cans into larger trash cans from main room. 

❏ Please wipe down all bathroom surfaces with CHLOROX wipes. 

❏ Use GLASS CLEANER to clean mirrors as needed. 

❏ Sweep and mop bathroom floors and hallway. 

PORCHES/PICNIC AREA/GROUNDS 

❏ Pick up all litter and take trash with you as you leave. 

❏ Sweep front walks and entrance way. 

BEFORE EXITING THE BUILDING 

❏Make sure back storm door is LATCHED BUT NOT LOCKED. 

❏Make sure back inside door DEAD BOLT IS LOCKED. 

❏ Set thermostat to 75 degrees in warmer months and 60 degrees in colder months. 

❏ In winter months please leave under sink kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors open to prevent pipes freezing. 

❏ Remove all trash from premises and take it with you when you leave. 

❏ Place new trash bags in all waste baskets/trash cans. 

❏ Turn off lights (bathrooms, hallway, storage room, kitchen area, front door). 

❏ Leave door to hallway open. 

❏ Lock front door. 

❏ Email us at canecreekcc@gmail.com to let us know you are through and to report any damages if necessary. 

OUR RENTAL AGREEMENT

 

  1. No alcoholic beverages or drugs are permitted on premises. 

  2. Smoking inside the building is prohibited. The building is a smoke-free facility. 

  3. No animals/pets are allowed on property unless prior written consent from CCCC Board. 

  4. Building must be vacated by 10:00 p.m. 

  5. Renter is responsible for any loss or damage to the building or its contents.  

    • A cleaning/damage deposit is required at the time of reservation. 

    • All appliances, tables, chairs, kitchen items, utensils, cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, dustpan, etc), and step stool belong to the Cane Creek Community Center and are provided as a courtesy for our renters. 

    • Renter is responsible for set up, break down and clean-up of all needed equipment (tables, chairs, etc...). 

    • Tables and chairs are not to be removed from the premises and are to be returned to their proper place in the storage area immediately following the event. 

  6. Renter is responsible for CLEANING THE PREMISES AND REMOVING TRASH immediately after use.  

    • Brooms, mops, cleaning supplies and restroom supplies, including disposable gloves, are located in the storage room off The Gathering Room OR under cabinets in the kitchen/restrooms. 

    • Renter agrees to complete the cleaning in accordance with the cleaning checklist agreement and to sign the checklist before leaving the premises. Failure to do so, will result in forfeit of rental deposit. 

  7. Renter agrees to use only the cork strip at the top of the wall to hang any decorations 

    • Renter will not use nails, staples, tacks, commands strips or tape on walls.  

    • A step stool is provided by the community center and should be used at your own risk. Please do not remove it from the building. 

  8. Renter must supply his/her own cups, plates napkins, utensils, cooking and serving pans, food and beverages. 

  9. Renter is responsible for removing all food, beverages and ice from the premises at the completion of the event. 

  10. Excessive noise that disturbs neighbors is prohibited. If there is a noise complaint, you will be given (1) warning. If we receive a second call, renter will be required to vacate the premises and will forfeit the deposit. 

  11. Renter is responsible for obtaining the door code from our representative through our email correspondence.

  12. Renter is responsible for removal of all trash from the premises. 

  13. Renter is responsible for returning the thermostat to the designated temperature and locking the door before leaving. 

  14. Renter is responsible for notifiying our representative of their departure as soon as they have locked the building through our email correspondance. 

  15. Renter is responsible for immediately reporting any damages of the property to our representative.

Any violation of these rules may and can prohibit the applicant from obtaining the community building for further use or obtaining a refund of the deposit. The deposit will be returned within two (2) weeks if the building is clean, there are no damages and all trash is removed.
